Our fiberglass cloth and tape is used with either polyester or epoxy resins. There seems to be such a mystery surrounding fiber glassing that even I get concerned. Let me clear this up for you. Fiberglass is glue. Fiberglass cloth is the reinforcing fiber for this glue. When you have a repair to make that needs to be strong and waterproof, this is when you use fiberglass cloth or tape. People ask me all the time "Neal, isn't it cheaper to buy several yards of wide cloth and cut it into strips myself?" The fallacy here is that you can cut straight and that the edges won’t unravel. I can assure you they will. Spend a few extra sheckels and use the tape to have smooth finished edges. Like our parents taught us: "any job worth doing is worth doing right."
